Previous Companies and Positions serving the government sector: Offensive Lineman in the NFL (Miami, Cleveland, & Buffalo) for the 8 years prior to joining Crews & Associates.

Brief description of current job duties: I am an Underwriter and Financial Advisor on Municipal Debt.

Favorite part of your job: I love being able to help a city successfully find the funding needed to complete a greatly needed project.

Background and pathways: I grew up in rural Centerville, TX. I moved from there in 8th grade to Clear Lake, and then on to Austin Westlake to graduate high school.

Family: My wife Paige is also an Aggie and we have three beautiful girls: Kate (9), Abigail (7), and Hannah (5).

Personal Points: I love hunting, fishing, and photography. I also enjoy a little golf from time to time. Most of all, I enjoy watching my kids compete in sporting events – that is a lot of fun.

Current challenge: Having the opportunity to get in front of the appropriate leaders in order to introduce our company.

Who do you consider to be influential in your career and what is something you have learned from them? I’ve been around many great leaders that I like to pattern my style of work. I have been influenced on many different levels: my parents; high school, college, and NFL coaches; and our leaders at Crews & Associates. So many people have influenced my style that I’m reluctant to single them out.

Aspirations: I would like to see Crews & Associates rise from their currently level of success into a top 10 power in the State of Texas.

If you had one thing you could do over again, what would it be? That’s a hard question. I would like to do a lot more than one thing over again…
If all local government officials in the U.S. were listening to you for one minute, what would you say to them? Crews & Associates has the ability to tap both retail and national sources. We hard work in introducing your City, and in turn finding you the lowest borrowing rates possible. Not only can we perform, we actually care about what happens after the transaction is completed.

Democracy at the Doorstep Impact: What do you consider to be your personal contribution to Democracy or helping improve how government functions? I feel like I am active in democracy. I have never run for a political office, but that’s not to say one day I won’t.

Advice for other young professionals: Hard work pays off.
